2026 Illinois Reading Challenge
Challenge begins Monday, August 11
Make your voice heard! Read books from the 2026 Illinois Readers’ Choice lists
and vote on which is your favorite. Track which books you’ve read using Beanstack
(available as an app or at aapld.beanstack.org). Prefer to keep track on paper? Pick up
a log at the Youth Services Desk or the Eastgate Branch Desk. Meet your reading goal
to get an invitation to vote in February 2026; keep reading from your list to earn a
paperback book! The Monarch and Bluestem Awards are sponsored by the Association of Illinois School
Library Educators. The Rebecca Caudill Award is administered by the RCYRBA Board of Directors.
